The Snake River in Hells Canyon has many spectacular aspects, but it is impossible to ignore the river for its fishery! Catching 30-40 small mouth bass in a day is common—for this reason fishing charters from August through October are a primary focus for North Star on this river. Diverse fishing opportunities include rainbow trout and steelhead, catfish, and great white sturgeon, and even salmon. Focus on spin casting or fly fishing, or even plan to do some of both.
